Shola Adekoya who has been acting as interim CEO since Sim Shagaya became the chairman of the board has been confirmed the substantive Chief-executive-Officer. According to report reaching us, Shola Adekoya possesses the skills, credibility and expertise to act in the capacity of the office of the CEO at Konga.
Shola joined Konga as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in July 2013 and currently holds the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Prior to joining Konga, Shola was in charge of Financial Planning and Budgeting at Etisalat Nigeria; a Nigerian telecom operator.
Shola’s prior experience includes working for Vodafone Group where he worked across 8 European countries in developing Internet and Data revenues as well as consolidating technology platforms to reduce costs. He worked as Finance Business partner in many other organisations which include Ciena UK, UK-HomeOffice, Transport for London, Orion media marketing and many others.
Shola holds an MBA from Cranfield University and is a fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies from London South Bank University.
As the new CEO, Mr. Adekoya will manage the day-to-day affairs at konga.com and will work with the company’s board of directors to further solidify the company’s leadership position in Nigeria’s e-commerce industry, as well as identify new business opportunities and prepare Konga.com for the emerging 4th Industrial Revolution.Share This
